Every friday in june there will be performances in the studio of The Dance Collector and ENS.

Like a map I wish to create a little landscape on stage which is connected to a score. I’m inspired by the similarities between these cool vintage maps of the world and our inner world. From a safe space (a blanket, a candle, almost like an altar) to the unsafety of trauma; those things get a ‘mark’ on stage.
Marcella Quinchavil Steen:
walk on stage, put down the speaker, place my items on a neat row and prepare for the start. It’s just doing. Empty body with a smile.
A dance about tehee, jumping and the sensational! A search for the ’essence’ and an attempt to becoming free from expectations and discipline. Refusal to (re)presentation.
Quotation marks surround the piece and is an expression of critique to always being critical.
It’s for the uncanny and the critic.
It’s a celebration to remain weird.
To the cheesy, the awkward, the fumbling!
